Many parents who go through the loss of a child go through this grief alone.

As a result, there is a need for support and resources for parents and families who experience child loss.

Often, culturally it’s difficult to acknowledge this loss, and it can be easy for others to look past it unless they’re directly impacted. It’s also difficult for others to know what to say or do in response to this unique loss.

The Sloane Elisabeth Foundation allows for these conversations to become relevant, providing support and resources so that grieving parents are not alone and can receive support at ease, to focus on healing themselves.

The Sloane Elisabeth Foundation is a registered non-profit association that was established in 2019, for grieving parents and families who go through and are experiencing neonatal and other child loss.

The purpose of this foundation is to not just raise money. It is established to build a community, and bring awareness to the lives lost so that no matter the time, or circumstances of the situation these families will always be supported and be heard.

This organization was created on behalf of Sloane Elisabeth Pomerville and established by Sloane’s grieving parents Genevieve and David Pomerville.

These tiny lives that are lost often touch more lives in their short period on earth than many people can do in their lifetime. As one family member thus affected says:

“I speak on behalf of these babies and their mothers, fathers, and families who have experienced their loss. We will never forget the child we have lost. No matter the period of time we got to hold our loved one, or carry her in our arms, we will always remember, and grieve.”

We have put together a list of resources that will allow you to find access to the support you need through articles, support groups and financial assistance:
